Tonbridge Lock and Oak Weir Lock Canoe and Fish Passes
Below are photos showing the construction of two new canoe and fish passes on the River Medway. When complete, the River Medway will boast new combined passes from Tonbridge to Yalding, a total distance of 13km.
Tonbridge Canoe and Fish Pass is a brush furnished pass similar to Eldridges Lock. See link shown to the left. Oak Weir lock is a rubber baffled pass. Further details to follow.
Works started on 14th Feb 2011 and are due to complete mid to end of April 2011.
